The Maier Bros. fleet offers a ver­sa­tile selec­tion of vehi­cles with mod­ern and envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly dri­ve tech­nolo­gies for your film pro­duc­tion. In addi­tion to clas­sic diesel trucks in Euro 6, CNG-BIO­GAS trucks in 7.2t and 12t are also avail­able for sus­tain­able green shoot­ing projects. A spe­cial high­light is the 18-tonne hydro­gen-pow­ered truck, which is equipped with two fuel cells and dri­ves pure­ly elec­tri­cal­ly. The vehi­cle fleet is com­ple­ment­ed by the inno­v­a­tive film hybrid series, which pro­vides a cost-effi­cient and envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly source of ener­gy for film sets.

Green Shoot­ing & Sus­tain­abil­i­ty

Maier Bros. relies on inno­v­a­tive dri­ve tech­nolo­gies such as CNG with bio­methane and hydro­gen to make film pro­duc­tions more sus­tain­able. With envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly vehi­cles and an effi­cient pow­er sup­ply, we are active­ly help­ing to reduce CO₂ emis­sions and pro­mote green shoot­ing.

Sus­tain­able dri­ves: how CNG and hydro­gen tech­nolo­gies reduce CO₂ emis­sions

The film indus­try is increas­ing­ly turn­ing to sus­tain­able solu­tions to make pro­duc­tions more cli­mate-friend­ly. Maier Bros. is active­ly con­tribut­ing to the reduc­tion of CO₂ emis­sions with CNG and hydro­gen vehi­cles.

CNG trucks: effi­cient and envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly

CNG (Com­pressed Nat­ur­al Gas) is an envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly alter­na­tive to diesel:

  • with con­ven­tion­al nat­ur­al gas 25% with bio­methane 97% less CO₂ emis­sions com­pared to con­ven­tion­al trucks. (Due to the bind­ing of CO2 from the air dur­ing the pro­duc­tion of bio­methane, the CO2 bal­ance is high­er: 96% of CNG in Ger­many is bio­methane. This results in a very high lev­el of CO2 sav­ings. It only works the oth­er way round: the CO2 dis­ap­pears from the air through the plants from which the CNG is pro­duced and is released back into the air when dri­ving).
  • Sig­nif­i­cant­ly less par­tic­u­late mat­ter and nitro­gen oxides
  • Bio-CNG is pos­si­ble, result­ing in almost CO₂-neu­tral pro­duc­tion. (Pre­cise­ly: 96% share in Ger­many)

Hydro­gen trucks: the future of sus­tain­able film pro­duc­tion

Our 18-ton­ner with hydro­gen dri­ve sets new stan­dards in sus­tain­able film tech­nol­o­gy:

  • Zero CO₂ emis­sions — the only “waste” is pure water vapor.
  • Fast refu­el­ing in just a few min­utes, no long charg­ing times.
  • Inde­pen­dent of fos­sil fuels, which saves costs in the long term.
